Copy Editor

We are seeking a Senior Copy Editor to support the development and implementation of online, CD-ROM, and print-based learning solutions. This position is responsible for managing the workflow of the Copyediting Department, supervising internal and external resources, maintaining department logs and paperwork, and the copyediting and proofing of educational titles and related materials designed to fulfill basic training and continuing education requirements for financial professionals.

Responsibilities:

- Substantive editing and proofreading of Insurance, Securities, Art, and Marketing materials and other materials as necessary (RFPs, conference deliverables)
- Maintaining schedule of projects and determining workload
- Managing temporary copyedit staff as needed
- Working with Producers and Production Department to ensure all projects adhere to schedule
- Conferring with Subject Matter Experts on material to protect integrity of content
- Maintaining copyediting processes and standards; copyedit at different levels as defined by project
- Ensuring consistency of style, voice, and tone as defined in the
